Sonoda Women’s University has agreements and exchange relationships with the following universities.
Sonoda Christchurch Campus
In partnership with The University of Canterbury, SWU opened the Sonoda Christchurch Campus (SCC) in 1993. These dorms were built with Japanese ascetics in mind. The grounds feature a Japanese Garden with a traditional arched bridge (taikobashi). Numerous groups from SWU and its affiliated institutions over the years have been hosted at the SCC while also providing housing for local students year round. Today the SCC dorms have become a vibrant, multicultural place hosting students from around the world. SWU students, including Sononda Gakuen Junior and Senior High School students, stay at the SCC multiple times throughout the year.
